My progress continues at a mind-numbingly slowpace. Last week I sat Kanken 7級, which I expect to pass, and I got the JLPT (日本語能力試験) result, which was a fail as expected. How can this be progress ? The listening score was 70%, which is my best performance to date. Obviously, I'd have liked to have passed and dwelling on it only sank my spirit lower. Later on, I went my thursday night 剣道稽古(kendo keiko, or training) and teach said to buy a 木刀 in order to the 一段exam. Well there's real progress.
I get better at kendo by listening to 御先生, copying everyone else, pondering on where it's going wrong, being centered and looking at the video and a book (books are rubbish and that's only for the vocabulary). I'm trying to apply the same thinking to my Japanese. 多分、これは日本語に書いたのほがいいですか
Nope, can't think in Japanese. What's next ?JLPT 1級 practice exam, SCJP, my very own browser, robot, trying to read the newspaper....
